Hey gang.....I need your input regarding the coffee gathering for the month of November....since the last Sat of the month is Thanksgiving weekend I think we should move up coffee one week to the Sat the 21st.  Now my next question is this.,..I know we just changed the location a couple of months ago but I think we need to change it again,,,,those of you that have been to the Seal Beach location the past 2 months know that there is an odor issue on their patio....and its gross...no one wants to smell sewer....

So I am  putting the suggestion out there to go back to our original location on Bellflower Blvd and Spring st in the Kmart/Lowes Center.  I can't think of another location that has a giant patio...,,but I am open to suggestions,

I know we were really crowded at the LB location but hey we are all friends right?  Anyway let me know your feelings on this.  I mean I am bummed cause the Seal Beach location is so nice and large....

Do you think we should give it one more try in Seal Beach or go back to LongBeach....

Looking forward to hearing everyone's input...

Have a great evening.

Well Jean... having only heard about the Seal Beach location and not seen it,  I would say that we go back to the original location.  I mean, who wants to smell that along with their latte?  I would think that the smell would "kill it" for some folks.  I know it would do me in.

Hi Jean, I must be reading your mind because I have been telling people that is it to be on the 21st and at the old LB Coffee location.  LMAO!
When you get a chance call me re: ps.
Thanks!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Yeah I would prefer the old one with NO SMELL than spend a few more hours with that smell of sewer.  I think you should call the new place, speak to a manager and tell them why we aren't coming back.  That smell cannot be healthy.  First they were working on it, so you can expect that smell, but there is no reason for it to be there the second time.  Sometime smaller is better, we can talk to more without walking around so much.

Hugs, Diane

I am game for the 21st and LB is much closer for me.  Sewer smell is gross, but I am not changing the name tags to LB Coffee.  They can stay So Cal Coffee - Ha Ha

Have a good one.

I think there are other LB Starbucks locations with wider patios than the Bellflower location--two on Willow come to mind.  One is near the Blue Line station at Long Beach Blvd. and Willow (141 E Willow St.)  The other is on Willow about a block west of Cherry (1788 E Willow St, Signal Hill).  I think the patio at the second one is covered, which might be nice in the heat of summer or on rainy days.

Hey Julia -I checked out the patio at the starbucks at Willow and Cherry and it isn't even as large as the one on Bellflower....and Ithink the one down by the blue line might be to confusing to some of our group - I also checked out the starbucks in LB towne Center and their patio isn't very big either.  But thanks for the input....  I still have my thinking cap on though.

Jean... here's a thought... what if we meet at LB Towne Center on the food court patio? It's big... and the Starbucks is just right there for people to walk down to for their coffee... and PLUS! Whenever we want to extend it into lunch, BAM... food court! El Torito! Islands! etc...

what do you think? and, when/if it ever rains, we move the party indoors...

problem solved?

xoxo
